Lauren's "I Don't Wanna" Work Out

Let's face it.  There will be some days where you can't find the motivation to work out.  I fully support listening to your body and taking a day off, but sometimes you have to push past the laziness.  Below is my "I Don't Wanna" Workout for when you can motivate yourself to do something, but not much.

Cardio
10 minutes on the treadmill (I recommend staying above a 4.0 pace.  If you want to use an incline, that is completely up to you.)
If you don't have access to a treadmill or prefer not to use one, you can always do jumping jacks, high knees, and butt kickers for the 10 minutes.

ARMS, LEGS, OR CORE - YOUR CHOICE!

Arms
Bicep curls - 3 sets of 10 reps
Tricep press - 2 sets of 15 reps
Dumbbell fly - 3 sets of 10 reps

Bonus:  3 sets of 60 second planks (Since a plank works your core and arms, this move works best when you don't have much time to work out and want to kill two birds with one stone.)

Legs
Squats - 3 sets of 10 (Bonus:  hold a kettleball while you do them)
Lunges - I find it is best to not do a specific amount, but instead use a hallway in your house or length of practice floor...how many ever that is)
Glute Bridge - 3 sets of 30 (these are great because you can lay down while doing them)
Calf Raises - 2 sets of 20 (add a dumbbell or kettleball to your hands for increased burn)

Bonus:  2 sets of 10 jumping squats or 3 sets of 10 kettleball swings (Both are known to be major fat burning moves)

Core
Dumbbell Side Bend - 2 sets of 20 bends (seriously, this move is the easiest ever, but works that muffin top)
Russian Twist - 2 sets of 25 twists (I hold my kettleball while doing each twist)
Bicycle Crunches - 2 sets of 30 reps (I use my stability ball when I do this exercise and it works your inner thighs as well.)

Bonus: 2 sets of 10 plank jacks.  Not gonna lie, I completely hate this move.  It is basically a jumping jack in plank position.  It definitely works your lower abs, so I force myself to do them from time to time.

The important part of every workout is doing each move accurately and completely.  I'm certainly not a trainer, but I would think it is better to do less moves correctly than to do everything on the list in a rushed manner.  In addition, every little bit counts.  So stay active even on the days where you don't wanna.
